ब्रिटेन के उद्योगपति सुखपाल सिंह अहलूवालिया ने ‘जस्टिस फॉर एवरी चाइल्ड’ अभियान के लिए केएससीएफ को 1 करोड़ रुपये देने की घोषणा की
नई दिल्ली। ब्रिटेन के प्रसिद्ध उद्योगपति और समाजसेवी श्री सुखपाल सिंह अहलूवालिया इन दिनों भारत दौरे पर हैं। उन्होंने अंतरराष्ट्रीय साक्षरता दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर कैलाश सत्यार्थी चिल्ड्रेन्स फाउंडेशन (केएससीएफ) द्वारा चलाए जा रहे ‘जस्टिस फॉर एवरी चाइल्ड’ अभियान को एक करोड़ रुपये देने की घोषणा की। यह धन राशि लड़कियों की सुरक्षा, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देने और यौन शोषण के खिलाफ उनकी सुरक्षा को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए खर्च किया जाएगा।
उल्लेखनीय है कि केएससीएफ की ओर से चलाए जा रहे ‘जस्टिस फॉर एवरी चाइल्ड’ अभियान को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से श्री अहलूवालिया ने यह योगदान करने का निर्णय लिया है। अभियान का उद्देश्य यौन शोषण और बलात्कार के शिकार बच्चों और उनके परिवारों को कानूनी और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य सहायता उपलब्ध कराना है। इस साल मार्च में शुरू किए गए इस अभियान का लक्ष्य देशभर के 100 जिलों के 100 फास्ट ट्रैक कोर्ट में 5,000 मामलों में न्याय दिलाने में मदद प्रदान करना है।
श्री अहलूवालिया ने इस बाबत मंगलवार की शाम नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार से सम्मानित श्री कैलाश सत्यार्थी से मुक्ति आश्रम में मुलाकात की। मुक्ति आश्रम श्री सत्यार्थी द्वारा स्थापित बाल श्रम से मुक्त बच्चों की सुरक्षा और देखभाल के लिए एक अल्पकालीन पुनर्वास केंद्र है। उन्होंने बच्चों के सशक्तिकरण के लिए अपनी विभिन्न अभियानों के तहत केएससीएफ द्वारा समर्थित कई लड़कियों के साथ बातचीत की। उनकी कहानियों और बातचीत से प्रेरित होकर श्री अहलूवालिया ने मदद की यह घोषणा की।
मुक्ति आश्रम में जिन लड़कियों से उनकी मुलाकात हुई उनमें राजस्थान के अलवर से बंजारा समुदाय की तारा बंजारा और ललिता दुहारिया के नाम उल्लेखनीय हैं। तारा अपने समुदाय की पहली ऐसी लड़की हैं, जिन्होंने 12वीं की कक्षा अव्वल नम्बरों से पास की हैं। तारा का लक्ष्य पुलिस अधिकारी बनना है। वहीं दलित समुदाय से ताल्लुक रखने वालीं ललिता दुहारिया ने 96 प्रतिशत अंकों के साथ बारहवीं पास की हैं। ललिता ने डॉक्टर बनने के अपने सपने को साझा किया।
श्री अहलूवालिया ने इस अवसर पर कहा, ‘‘मैं लम्बे समय से भारत में विभिन्न सामाजिक कार्यों का सहयोग और समर्थन कर रहा हूं और अब मैं बच्चों की सुरक्षा के लिए एक कदम उठा रहा हूं। श्री सत्यार्थी के कार्य और पहल प्रेरणास्पद हैं और मैं अपनी पूरी क्षमता से उनके मिशन का समर्थन करने के लिए तैयार हूं। यह महज एक करोड़ रुपये की सांकेतिक राशि है। यह 1 करोड़ मैं अभी योगदान कर रहा हूं। मुझे भविष्य में भी एक महान सरोकार का सहयोग जारी रखने में खुशी होगी।’’ श्री सत्यार्थी ने उनके इस नेक कार्य का स्वागत किया है।
श्री अहलूवालिया डोमिनव्स ग्रुप के संस्थापक और अध्यक्ष हैं। यह उनके परिवार के स्वामित्व वाली एक रियल एस्टेट, हॉस्पिटैलिटी और निवेश वाली कंपनी है, जिसका सालाना कारोबार 750 मिलियन डॉलर से अधिक है। जिसमें पूरे यूके में होटलों का एक पोर्टफोलियो भी शामिल है। श्री अहलूवालिया अपनी सामाजिक सेवा और उदारता के लिए जाने जाते हैं।
गौरतलब है कि श्री अहलूवालिया ने 2018 में फरीदाबाद में एक नया स्कूल स्थापित करने के लिए भी एक बड़ी मदद की थी। इस स्कूल को वैसे गरीब बच्चों के लिए बनाया गया जो अपनी प्राथमिक शिक्षा भी पूरी नहीं कर पाते हैं। उन्होंने खालसा एड, जलियांवाला नरसंहार स्मारक और निष्काम स्वात जैसे महत्वपूर्ण कार्यों में भी अपना योगदान दिया है। वर्तमान में वे माइग्रेशन म्यूजियम ऑफ लंदन के भारत के संरक्षक के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं।
श्री अहलूवालिया लंबे समय से भारत में घर वापसी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि वे अपने देश में अपने व्यवसाय और सामाजिक कार्यों को आगे बढ़ाना चाह रहे हैं। वे धीरे-धीरे ब्रिटेन में अपनी शेष जिम्मेदारियों को समाप्त कर रहे हैं।
