आत्मघात
कायरता नहीं,
हिम्मत के आखरी धागे का टूटना है आत्मघात
प्रेम, स्नेह, आस्था छूटना है आत्मघात
विचार शून्यता की पराकाष्ठा है आत्मघात
अकेलेपन की इंतेहा है आत्मघात
असहनीय तकलीफों की सघनता है आत्मघात
शब्दातीत कोलाहल की विकटता है आत्मघात
जीवन के मोह का क्षणिक छूटना है आत्मघात
शरीर से पहले आत्मा का मरना है आत्मघात I
ना जाने कितनी बार मरता है
जीवन का सूरज निगल जाए
वो कोहरा ग़म का,कितना सघन होगा
दिल की धड़कन जिसका बोझ ना सह पाए
जाने कितना भारी वो ग़म होगा I
बातें बहादुरी की, दर्शन जीवन का,
जो लोग शवयात्रा पर उसकी देते थे I
कभी उस बेहाल का हाल भी
अगर, बिना वजह पूछ लिया होता I
घुटी हुई साँसों के साथ ही सही
वो लाश, कुछ दिन और जी गया होता I
जीवन का अंत इतना भी सरल नहीं
जितना कि जान पड़ता है I
महाप्रयाण करने से पहले वो जीव,
ना जाने कितनी बार मरता है I
